Protocol Education are seeking enthusiastic and passionate students and graduates to work in SEND schools across Salisbury. If you are studying Psychology, Social Sciences, Education or Sports, or you have a passion for working with and supporting children, you have the skill set that we are looking for.
The Role: Working as a Teaching Assistant you will be providing support for students with additional needs in order to ensure that they’re getting the best out of their education and are given an equal opportunity to succeed outside of the classroom.
There are options to work on a day to day basis, or have a set school you work at on a long term basis.
Hours: Usually 08.30 - 15.30
The schools: Primarily will be based in SEND schools across Salisbury with a range of different needs (ASC, PMLD, SEMH, SLD to mention a few) while following the main aims and ethos’ of the schools. No matter which school you attend, you will be trusted to ensure the safety, confidentiality, and progress of the pupils. There are also opportunities to work in mainstream secondarys and primarys.
The Successful Candidate: Whether you have studied Education, Psychology, Sociology or something completely different, your transferable skills are required! As an individual you will be outgoing and confident in your abilities to provide the best outcomes for your students.
You must be adaptable, motivated, and committed to providing a caring and exciting learning environment where children are valued as individuals are challenged and enabled to reach their full potential.
Although not essential, extra qualifications in training in Moving and Handling and/or Team Teach are desirable.
