Student Support Role

As part of the pastoral structure, the responsibilities of these roles encompass various tasks, including communication with students, parents/carers, and external organizations, student supervision, and administrative duties.
Responsibilities:
Engage in effective communication with students, parents/carers, and external organizations to address various student support needs.
Provide supervision and guidance to students, ensuring their well-being and safety within the school environment.
Assist with administrative tasks related to student support, including record-keeping, data entry, and organizing resources.
Collaborate with the pastoral team and other staff members to develop and implement strategies for student support and well-being.
Support students in their academic and personal development, promoting positive behaviour and fostering a positive learning environment.
Conduct individual or small group sessions to address specific student needs, such as study skills, organization, or emotional well-being.
Liaise with external agencies and professionals to access additional support and resources for students when necessary.
Requirements:
Relevant and proven experience in a student support or similar role within a school setting.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive and effective working relationships with students, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
A diverse range of skills suitable for student support, including communication, organization, problem-solving, and empathy.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in completing administrative tasks.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
