Sports Graduate Teaching Assistant (SEN Focus)

Pay: £85-£95 per day
Working Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm

Are you a recent sports graduate eager to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Protocol Education is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Sports Graduate Teaching Assistants. This role is ideal for sports graduates who are passionate about education, SEN support, and want to use physical activity to inspire and motivate young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and group support to pupils with a variety of SEN, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH).
  • Assist the classroom teacher in differentiating lessons to meet the unique needs of SEN students.
  • Use sports and physical activities as tools to enhance students' learning, development, and emotional well-being.
  • Support students with physical disabilities in participating in sports and classroom activities.
  • Help create an inclusive, supportive, and positive learning environment for all students, adapting approaches to suit individual learning styles.

Requirements:

  • A-level, foundation degree, or degree in Sports or a related field.
  • A genuine interest in working with children and young people, particularly those with SEN.
  • Strong communication and empathy skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • A valid DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one.
  • Two or more references covering the last 24 months.
  • Experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
