Long Term Speech and Language Teaching Assistant role in a primary school in Sheffield working with KS2 children with Speech and Language delay.
We are looking for an organised and pro-active teaching assistant looking for experience to perhaps go on and be a Speech and Language therapist in the future. You should have previous experience working with children or young people with speech and language difficulties and have a passion for this kind of work.
• Long Term role working with 2 children with S&L difficulties
• Would suit somebody with experience doing interventions with children with speech delay
• Also suit a graduate with related degree and an interest in Psychology or Psychotherapy
• Additional qualifications related to Speech & Language or autism a bonus
• In class support and interventions
The role with involve working 1:1 with 2 children both on the autistic spectrum. You will also be assisting with learning supporting the class teacher and there will also be some speech and language intervention outside the classroom. Here are some of the benefits of the role:
