Job Description
Job Duties:
- Supporting students with special needs in their educational and personal development
- Assisting the class teacher in implementing individual education plans
- Providing one-on-one support to students with learning disabilities or behavioural challenges
- Helping to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
- Monitoring and recording student progress
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs
Education:
- Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or 3)
Experience:
- Previous experience working with children with special needs
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of special educational needs and disabilities
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents
- Patience, empathy, and a caring attitude
Preferred Qualifications:
- First Aid certification
- Mental Health First Aid training
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position with regular school hours
- Working closely with students, teachers, and other support staff
- Potential for physical and emotional demands due to the nature of working with special needs students

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
