Job Duties:
- Provide support to special needs students in the classroom
- Assist the teacher in implementing individual education plans
- Help students with personal care needs, including feeding and toileting
- Support students in their social and emotional development
- Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
- Relevant experience working with special needs children
Experience:
Previous experience in a similar role within an educational setting
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of special educational needs and disabilities
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- First Aid certification
- Makaton or other communication training
Working Conditions:
- Work in a classroom setting
- Potential exposure to challenging behaviours
- Regular interaction with special needs students

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
