We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will work with children who have a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children who have SEND and a strong understanding of the principles of inclusive education. You will need to be patient, empathetic and able to build positive relationships with children and their families.

In this role, you will work closely with the class teacher and other professionals to support children with their learning, including providing one-to-one support, small group work and assisting with classroom management.

Requirements:

  • Experience working as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant
  • Strong knowledge of SEND and inclusive education
  • Ability to work effectively with children who have additional needs
  • Patient and empathetic approach
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must have good spoken English;

  • Minimum of 6 months Primary experience

  • Able to provide 2 or more references covering the last 3 years.

  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
