Special Needs Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join our team to support our inclusive schools, who support students aged 6-16 with a wide range of special educational needs.

 

About the Role:

As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating a supportive and stimulating learning environment for our students.

Your responsibilities will include:

 * Providing one-to-one and small group support to students with a variety of special educational needs.

 * Assisting teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons.

 * Building positive relationships with students and their families.

 * Implementing behavior management strategies to create a calm and focused learning environment.

 * Supporting students with personal care needs as required.

 

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

 * A genuine passion for working with young people with special educational needs.

 * Experience in a school or care setting is desirable, but not essential.

 * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

 * The ability to work effectively as part of a team.

 * A flexible and adaptable approach to your work.
