We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in the Redcar vicinity.

The successful candidate will be working with children who have Special Educational Needs, providing tailored support to help them thrive in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual support to children with SEN, adapting learning materials and activities to meet their specific needs
  • Assist with both academic and emotional development in a caring and supportive manner
  • Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to implement effective learning strategies
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN is essential
  • Ability to engage and motivate children with additional needs
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
  • Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
