Job Duties:

  • Supervise students in the absence of the regular teacher
  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons in Spanish and/or French to classes
  • Maintain classroom discipline and ensure a productive learning environment
  • Assist with the preparation of learning materials
  • Provide feedback to the regular teacher on student progress
  • Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required

Required Qualifications:

  • Fluency in both Spanish and French languages
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively
  • Strong organisational skills

Education:

Minimum of A-levels or equivalent qualification

Experience:

Previous experience working with children or young adults in an educational setting preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of the national curriculum
  • Ability to adapt teaching styles to meet the needs of students
  • Basic IT skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Experience in delivering lessons in a secondary school setting

Working Conditions:

  • Temporary position with the potential for extension
  • Full-time hours, Monday to Friday
  • Work within a supportive educational environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
