Job Duties:

  • Deliver engaging Spanish lessons to students
  • Provide cover supervision for Spanish classes in the absence of the regular teacher
  • Assess and evaluate student progress and provide feedback
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive approach to teaching and learning

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) desirable but not mandatory
  • Degree in Spanish or related field

Education:

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Spanish or related field

Experience:

  • Previous experience teaching Spanish to secondary school students
  • Experience in providing cover supervision in an educational setting

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Fluency in Spanish and English
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to engage and motivate students
  • Good classroom management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education
  • Experience using technology in the classroom

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
