Job Duties:
- Conducting research in the field of sociology
- Teaching social science courses to students
- Developing curriculum and lesson plans
- Evaluating student progress and providing feedback
- Participating in departmental meetings and professional development activities
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Sociology or related field
- Demonstrated knowledge of sociological theories and research methods
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Sociology or related field
Experience:
Previous experience in teaching or research in the field of sociology
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong understanding of sociological concepts
- Proficiency in research methodologies
- Ability to engage and motivate students
- Excellent organisational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's or PhD in Sociology
- Teaching qualification
- Experience in curriculum development
Working Conditions:
This role involves working in an educational setting, interacting with students and colleagues. The work may require occasional evening or weekend hours for meetings or events.
