Protocol Education are currently recruiting teaching assistants to work in an outstanding school in Merton. This school offers teachings assistants the opportunity to work all ages such as early years, primary and secondary students and will provide training throughout the role. This particular school are looking for individuals who enjoy working with children of all ages, comfortable working with special needs and are passionate about making a positive impact in students learning and development. No experience is required, but commitment, passion and dedication are key attributes the school are looking for. As a teaching assistant you will be working in small class sizes of 6 - 8 students per class where you will follow a set curriculum developing speech & language, teach vocabulary and comprehension through visual resources, support students in cores subjects such as numeracy and literacy and assist in creative lessons such as art, music, cooking and sensory play.
The role:
- Monday to Friday
- A yearlong role, offering flexibility
- Working with special needs such as autism, speech & language and learning difficulties
- Working with students in a set class of 6 - 8 students per class
- Developing students’ communication and social awareness
- Opportunity to develop students learning on a one-to-one basis
- Assisting in key subjects such as tailored numeracy & literacy
