Year 1 – Non-Verbal, Autism Spectrum, Personal Care Required
About the Role:
- Provide one-to-one support for a Year 1 child with non-verbal autism
- Assist with personal care needs, ensuring dignity and comfort
- Support the child’s communication, engagement, and social development
- Implement strategies to encourage independence and learning
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to tailor support
About You:
- ✅ Experience supporting children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- ✅ Comfortable with personal care responsibilities
- ✅ Understanding of non-verbal communication techniques (PECS, Makaton, etc.)
- ✅ Patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
- ✅ Passionate about making a positive impact in SEND education
