Job Advertisement: SEND Teaching Assistant – Louth (Primary & Secondary) – Full-Time

Protocol Education is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a school in Louth. If you are passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and are looking for a full-time role, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact in both primary and secondary age groups.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and group support to students with special educational needs (SEND).
  • Assist in the delivery of tailored learning plans, ensuring accessibility and engagement for all students.
  • Work closely with teachers and other professionals to monitor and track student progress.
  • Support students in social, emotional, and behavioral development, fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Implement strategies to enhance students’ independence and confidence in both academic and social settings.
  • Aid in the delivery of both group and individual interventions.
  • Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with students with SEND, particularly within primary and secondary school settings.
  • Familiarity with strategies and techniques for supporting students with a range of needs, including autism, dyslexia, and emotional/behavioral difficulties.
  • Knowledge of EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans) is beneficial.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, caring attitude toward students.

 

Additional Requirements:

  • A full-time commitment is required for this role.
  • Driving licence is beneficial, although access to reliable transport is crucial for travel between schools if necessary.
