Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant
About the Role:
Protocol Education is seeking full-time or part-time SEND Teaching Assistants to work across various SEND schools in Nottinghamn If you have experience working with children or adults with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, this is a challenging yet highly rewarding opportunity for you.
About the Schools:
We collaborate with a variety of SEND schools in Nottingham, each catering to students with different needs, including SEMH, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). Whether you’re looking for long-term or short-term placements, we can offer roles that fit your preferences.
Job Duties:
- Supporting SEND students to ensure they receive the best possible education
- Providing equal opportunities for students to succeed inside and outside the classroom
- Potential for a temporary to permanent contract
Required Qualifications:
- Experience working with children or adults with SEMH needs
- Confidence in managing challenging behaviour
- Passionate about helping vulnerable young people succeed
Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant is desirable
- Understanding of SEMH needs and strategies to support students
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
- Additional training in supporting students with SEMH needs
Working Conditions:
- Location: East Midlands, Nottinghamshire, Nottingham
- Job Type: Contract, Full-Time hours
- Salary: £83 - £90 Per day

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
