Job Description:
Job Duties:
- Provide support to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a classroom setting
- Assist teachers in implementing individual education plans for students with SEND
- Help create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
- Support students with personal care and mobility needs, if required
- Monitor and record student progress and behaviour
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
- Relevant qualification in Special Educational Needs (SEN) or willingness to work towards one
Education:
- Previous experience working in a similar role within an educational setting
Experience:
- Experience working with children or young adults with SEND
- Understanding of different learning needs and strategies to support them
Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies related to SEND
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach
Preferred Qualifications:
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
- First Aid certification
Working Conditions:
- Full-Time hours, Monday to Friday
- Work within a school environment, assisting students with SEND
- May involve physical tasks such as assisting with personal care or mobility

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
