Job Duties:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
- Provide a nurturing and inclusive learning environment with a nurturing provision
- Work closely with support staff and parents to ensure individual needs are met
- Manage challenging behaviour effectively
- Assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
Required Qualifications:
Teaching qualification
Education:
Relevant degree in Education or related field
Experience:
Prior experience working with students with SEN, SEMH, and challenging behaviour.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent understanding of Special Educational Needs, such as SEMH
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to differentiate instruction based on individual student needs
Preferred Qualifications:
Additional training in Special Educational Needs is desirable but not essential.
Working Conditions:
Regular classroom setting in an SEN educational institution.
