Position Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated and innovative SEND Teacher to join our passionate team. The successful candidate will have a strong desire to make a positive impact on the lives of students with SEND, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential. You will play a crucial role in planning and delivering tailored lessons, assessing individual progress, and collaborating with a team of professionals to ensure the best outcomes for each student.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and evaluate high-quality lessons tailored to the needs of students with SEND.
  • Develop and regularly review Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to track and support student progress.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and other staff to provide comprehensive support for each student.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment that encourages students’ social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers, providing regular updates on student progress and addressing any concerns.
  • Stay current with SEND best practices and integrate new strategies into your teaching.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of students’ progress, behaviour, and attendance.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience working with students with a range of SEND, including those with complex needs.
  • Strong understanding of SEND policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to teaching, with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
