SEND Support (Communication difficulties, ASC and General SENd) at Doncaster Post-16 SEND College

A Doncaster Post-16 SEND College is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Support professional to join their team. As a SEND Support, you will play a crucial role in providing assistance and guidance to students with communication difficulties, Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), and other Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SENd).

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to students with communication difficulties, ASC, and other SENd.
  • Assist students in developing their communication and social skills.
  • Implement strategies and interventions tailored to meet the individual needs of students.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment.
  • Monitor and track students' progress, and provide feedback to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Promote inclusion and ensure equal opportunities for all students.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience working with individuals with communication difficulties, ASC, and other SENd.
  • Knowledge of various communication strategies and interventions.
  • Understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with communication difficulties and ASC.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with SENd.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
