Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs and disabilities.
  • Assist in the implementation and monitoring of individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Support students’ social and emotional development.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment.
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to deliver personalized learning experiences.
  • Assist with personal care and mobility needs as required.
  • Record and report on students’ progress and development.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young adults with SEND.
  • A compassionate and patient approach to supporting students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in different school environments.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
