Protocol Education are recruiting for a SEND Support Specialist within a SEND School in Walsall.

The school is a large Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) institution, currently supporting approximately 180 students aged 7 to 16, encompassing both Primary and Secondary education. While the school primarily caters to students with moderate learning difficulties, many students also present additional needs such as autism, speech, language, and communication needs, as well as some behavioural challenges. All classes are kept small, with both a teacher and teaching assistants to provide a supportive learning environment.

The school is seeking a SEND Support Specialist to assist in delivering its SEND provision. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the classroom teacher, other staff members, and the school’s SENCO to ensure that the curriculum is accessible to meet the individual needs of each student. The ideal candidate will possess experience in working with SEND/SEMH and have a solid understanding of the National Curriculum for both Primary and Secondary education.

Role: SEND Support Specialist

Location: Walsall (Easy Commute from Darlaston, Bloxwich, Willenhall and Brownhills.)

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:20am – 3:30pm

Start date: Monday 2nd December 2024

Qualifications: Team Teach Qualified desired, SEND/SEMH training qualifications also beneficial.
