SEND Support Assistants Needed in Horncastle - Local SEND School
Protocol Education is seeking dedicated and compassionate SEND Support Assistants to join a local SEND school in Horncastle. These full-time roles offer excellent opportunities for permanent positions, allowing you to play a key role in supporting the educational development and well-being of students with special educational needs.
Role Details:
- Position: SEND Support Assistant
- Location: Horncastle, Local SEND School
- Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
- Age Range: KS3 to KS4 (Dependent on experience)
- Contract Type: Full-time, with potential for permanent placement
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) across the EYFS to KS4 age range.
- Assisting with personal care and mobility needs where required.
- Encouraging student engagement in classroom activities and learning.
- Providing 1:1 and small group support to help students overcome challenges and achieve their potential.
- Assisting with behaviour management and implementing positive strategies to foster a supportive environment.
- Working closely with teachers and staff to monitor student progress and tailor support as needed.
- Promoting student independence and encouraging positive social integration.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience working with children or adults with SEND is desirable, but not essential.
- A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs.
- Patience, empathy, and a proactive attitude.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- A Level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or a related field is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
