A Sunderland  school is recruiting for a SEND support worker specialising in Autism  to work from September 2024 until July 2024.  

This OFSTED graded good school is located close to the centre of Sunderland. It is a short drive from the A19, meaning it is easily accessible from the surrounding areas of South Tyneside and County Durham, as well as all areas of Sunderland.

The  successful SEND support worker will join a large and supportive SEND department. The SEND provision of the school was noted as  key highlight in it's most recent OFSTED. 

Your role will be to work specifically with school’s new year 7 intake. You will provide 121 supporting to  pupils with Autism/  ASC. Previous experience of supporting a child with Autism or challenging behaviour is desirable. The school is willing to consider applications from individuals with either professional or personal experience.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
