Protocol Education: Learning Support Assistant - SEND
Protocol Education is a reputable education recruitment agency with over 20 years of experience in the UK market. We are currently seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant with a strong passion for working in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) schools.
Location: Gateshead, UK
Role: Learning Support Assistant
Contract: Long-term
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM
Salary: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications
We are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate individual to join our team at a secondary school in Sunderland. In this role, you will provide essential support and guidance to students with diverse needs, making a positive impact on their personal growth and success in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one support to students with SEND, both in and out of the classroom
- Assist in creating and implementing individualised education plans
- Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to support students' learning and development
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and report to the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO)
Requirements:
- Prior experience working with students with SEND
- Strong understanding of SEND, including different learning styles and strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team
