SEND Learning Support Assistant
Location: East of England, Essex, Harlow
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: £83.85 - £95 Per day
Job Description:
Job Duties:
- Provide support to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a classroom setting
- Assist teachers in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with SEND
- Support students with their learning activities and help them achieve their educational goals
- Monitor and record student progress and behaviour
- Collaborate with teaching staff and parents to create a supportive learning environment
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND
Education:
- GCSEs in English and Maths
Experience:
- Experience working in a school or educational setting
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals with SEND
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of SEND practises and strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
- Additional training in specific areas of SEND support
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position, working hours may vary
- Work primarily in a classroom setting
- Potential interaction with students with challenging behaviours
- Regular collaboration with teaching staff and parents
