Job Duties:

  • Provide 1:1 support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a classroom setting
  • Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies
  • Support students in their academic and social development
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment
  • Monitor and record student progress and behaviour

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
  • Relevant experience working with individuals with SEN

Education:

Desired but not essential education in a related field such as Special Education, Psychology, or Teaching Assistant qualification

Experience:

Prior experience working in a school or educational setting with SEN students

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of Special Educational Needs and behaviour management techniques
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional training in SEN support
  • First aid certification

Working Conditions:

  • Potential for dealing with challenging behaviour
  • Full-time hours with the possibility of occasional overtime

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
