JOB DESCRIPTION: SEN Teaching Assistant - Sutton
We are seeking an empathetic, resilient, and motivated Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will provide invaluable support to students with autism, communication difficulties, and challenging behaviours, helping them to engage with their learning and reach their full potential.

Job Duties:
- Provide support to SEN students in the classroom
- Assist students with personal care needs
- Implement individual education plans for students with special needs
- Work closely with teachers and parents to monitor student progress
- Support students with ADHD and other specific learning difficulties
Required Qualifications:
- Teaching Assistant Level 1
- Safeguarding training
- Enahnced DBS (or qwilling to apply for one)
Experience:
- Prior experience working with SEN children/schools
- Experience with challenging behaviour, ADHD
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of special educational needs
- Ability to provide personal care support
- Familiarity with working with students with ADHD
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional training in specific learning difficulties

The ideal candidate will be someone who:
- Has experience working with children or young people with autism and challenging behaviour.
- Is passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and helping them succeed.
- Has a good understanding of strategies for managing challenging behaviour, de-escalation techniques, and autism-specific strategies.
- Is patient, empathetic, and able to build positive, trusting relationships with students.
- Can work well as part of a team and has excellent communication skills.
