Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant - Level 3

Job Duties:
- Provide support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a classroom setting
- Assist the class teacher in implementing individual education plans for students with SEN
- Support students with learning activities and help them to engage with the curriculum
- Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
- Work closely with the SEN coordinator and other staff members to address the specific needs of students
- Provide feedback to teachers on student progress and development
Required Qualifications:
- Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent
- Experience working with students with SEN
- Knowledge of different learning needs and strategies to support students effectively
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
- Educated to at least GCSE level or equivalent
- Previous experience in a similar role within an educational setting
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
- Ability to adapt and respond to the individual needs of students
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to multi-task
Preferred Qualifications:
- First Aid certification
- Additional training in specific areas of SEN support
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position, Monday to Friday during school term times
- Working hours may vary but typically 8:30am to 3:30pm
