Job Description:
Job Duties:
- Supporting the educational and social development of students with special educational needs (SEN)
- Assisting the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored lessons for SEN students
- Providing one-to-one support to students with SEN to help them achieve their learning goals
- Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
- Assisting with classroom management and behaviour support
Required Qualifications:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Relevant experience working with children or young people with SEN
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Education:
Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
Experience:
Prior experience working with children or young people with SEN
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of special educational needs and different learning styles
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of students with SEN
- Good organisational skills
- Patience and empathy when working with SEN students
Preferred Qualifications:
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- Additional training in supporting students with specific SEN requirements
Working Conditions:
- Working hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
- Contractual employment
- Based in a school setting in the Greenwich area

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
