Are you someone who loves to support and inspire children? We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a child with Special Educational Needs (SEN) at a wonderful primary school in Harlow. This is a full-time role starting immediately, and it’s a fantastic opportunity for someone who’s passionate about helping children succeed.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Providing personalised support to a child with SEN, helping them participate fully in lessons
- Assisting with day-to-day classroom activities, ensuring the child is fully engaged
- Supporting the child with their social and emotional development, encouraging positive interactions
- Working closely with the class teacher to adapt learning to suit the child's individual needs
- Assisting with any personal care needs that may arise throughout the day
- Helping the child maintain a positive attitude towards learning and overcoming challenges
- Monitoring progress and sharing insights with the SENCO and other school staff
What We’re Looking For
- A patient, empathetic, and caring individual who enjoys working with children
- Experience with SEN is beneficial but not required – we welcome those willing to learn!
- A collaborative team player with great communication skills
- Someone who can adapt easily and provide support in a variety of situations
- An understanding of how to help children build confidence and achieve their potential
- A proactive, can-do attitude with a passion for supporting children's growth and success
