Protocol Education are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a specialised SEN setting based in Watford. If you are enthusiastic about supporting children with a range of learning and behavioural needs, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and dynamic team. 

About the Role:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students with special educational needs, assisting them in achieving their academic and personal development goals. This role requires patience, empathy, and a strong commitment to providing personalised support within a specialised setting. You will be supporting students' learning and development under the guidance of experienced educators whilst working alongside them to create engaging lessons and activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and group support to students with varying SEN needs (autism, learning disabilities, emotional and behavioural difficulties, etc.)
  • Assist with classroom activities, supporting the teacher in delivering tailored lessons and ensuring students are engaged
  • Help to create a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
  • Support with personal care and physical needs, if required
  • Monitor and record progress, offering feedback to teachers and senior staff
  • Foster independence, social skills, and positive behaviour in students

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
