Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team on a supply basis in Leeds.
About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with diverse needs, ensuring they can thrive both academically and socially. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing 1:1 or small group support for children with SEN, including Autism, ADHD, and other learning or behavioural needs.
- Assisting the class teacher in creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
- Adapting lesson materials to suit individual learning needs.
- Supporting pupils with emotional regulation and developing their social skills.
- Helping manage challenging behaviour using positive reinforcement and de-escalation techniques.

What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience working with children with SEN in a school or similar setting.
- A caring and patient approach, with the ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff.
- Knowledge of SEN strategies and behaviour management techniques.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
