Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant wanted for Primary Schools in Cambridge
Job Duties:
- Provide support to students with special educational needs (SEN) in the classroom
- Assist the class teacher in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Support students with their academic and personal development
- Work one-on-one or with small groups of students as needed
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure students' needs are met
Required Qualifications:
- GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths
- Previous experience working with children or individuals with SEN
- Understanding of SEN strategies and techniques
Education:
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)
Experience:
- Experience working in a school or educational setting
Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
- Patience and empathy when working with students with SEN
- Basic understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
Preferred Qualifications:
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- Training in specific SEN areas such as autism or ADHD
Working Conditions:
- Working hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday
- Work primarily in a classroom setting
- May require some physical activity and assisting students with mobility

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
