Job Duties:
- Supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in their learning and development
- Assisting the classroom teacher in implementing individual education plans
- Providing one-to-one support to students with SEN
- Helping students with personal care needs, if required
- Assisting in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment
Required Qualifications:
- Level 2 or above qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
- Experience working with children with SEN
- Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies
Education:
Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
Experience:
Prior experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role
Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Patience and understanding when working with students with SEN
Preferred Qualifications:
- First Aid certification
- Training in specific SEN areas such as Autism or Dyslexia
Working Conditions:
- Working hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday
- Working in a school setting alongside teachers and other support staff
- Potential exposure to challenging behaviours and personal care tasks

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
