Job Description: SEN Teaching Assistant
Protocol Education is looking for a passionate and committed Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join the team at a highly regarded SEN school.
About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with a strong desire to support children with additional needs, particularly those with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). Working within a supportive and inclusive school federation, you will play a key role in helping students build confidence, achieve their personal goals, and develop a love for learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to students with SEND.
- Provide one-on-one and group support to deliver targeted interventions.
- Collaborate with the class teacher to adapt lesson materials and ensure inclusivity.
- Use creative strategies to engage and challenge students.
- Support positive behaviour management, following the school’s policies.

Requirements

- Has a genuine passion for working with children with additional needs, including ASC.
- Adapts teaching strategies to meet diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Is caring, empathetic, and driven to foster strong relationships with students, parents, staff, and the wider school community.
- Holds the relevant qualifications and training for this role.
