Immediate Start: Full-Time Support Role at SEN provision, Chessington
Daily Rate: £90-£95 per day
Protocol Education is proud to be recruiting on behalf of St Philip’s School, a dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Chessington. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people aged 9–19 with a variety of additional needs.
About the role/provision:
The school provides tailored education and support for students with EHCPs, addressing a range of needs including mild to moderate Autism Spectrum Disorders, language impairments, and emotional challenges.
- Class sizes of 8–10 students allow for focused and supportive learning.
- Emphasis on independence, with life skills, travel training, and work experience integrated into the curriculum.
- Enrichment opportunities include residential trips, after-school clubs, and a broad selection of subject options.
- Comprehensive emotional support, with access to counselling, Play Therapy, and Dramatherapy.
The Role
We are seeking a proactive and compassionate individual to join the team immediately.
- Full-time position supporting students in Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Post-16.
- Provide classroom support to help students access the curriculum and develop essential life skills.
- Collaborate with teachers and the school’s well-being team to ensure the academic, social, and emotional progress of each student.
Requirements
- Must hold an enhanced DBS certificate for both child and adult workforce (on the update service or be willing to obtain one).
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is highly desirable.
- Ability to demonstrate initiative, adaptability, and a proactive approach in a dynamic school environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
