Job Duties:

  • Assist in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in their learning and development
  • Implement individual education plans as directed by the SENCo
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with SEN
  • Help create a stimulating and supportive learning environment
  • Assist with personal care and feeding where required
  • Support students in accessing the curriculum and adapting materials as needed
  • Monitor and record student progress and behaviour
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and outside agencies to support student progress

Education:

Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths

Experience:

Prior experience working with students with SEN

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of SEN and different learning needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Patience and empathy when working with students

Preferred Qualifications:

First Aid certification

Working Conditions:

This role may involve standing for long periods, bending, and lifting. Working hours may vary depending on the school's schedule.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
