Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Multiple Schools in the Local Area (Including 1-Form and 2-Form Entry)

Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs (SEN)? Do you have the skills and flexibility to work across a number of schools in the local area? We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to support students across a range of schools, including both 1-form and 2-form entry settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide dedicated support to students with SEN across various schools in the local area.
  • Assist class teachers in delivering tailored education in both 1-form and 2-form entry schools.
  • Work 1:1 or with small groups of students, adapting teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs.
  • Foster an inclusive, supportive, and safe learning environment for all students.
  • Support children with a variety of SEN, including autism, ADHD, and communication needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to implement and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Promote the social, emotional, and academic development of students in your care.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN in a school setting.
  • Patience, empathy, and strong relationship-building skills with students.
  • Flexibility to travel between schools in the local area and adapt to different teaching styles and environments.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach with teachers, parents, and external professionals.
  • A passion for helping all children achieve their potential.
