Position Title: Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant

Key Responsibilities:
- Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with SEN, ensuring their specific needs are met
- Support students with SEN in their learning and development, fostering a positive and inclusive environment
- Collaborate closely with teachers to create an engaging and inclusive learning atmosphere
- Provide one-to-one support for students with SEN as needed, promoting their academic and personal growth
- Monitor and record student progress, keeping accurate and detailed records
- Assist with classroom management and behaviour support, encouraging positive and respectful interactions
Required Qualifications:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Prior experience working with children or individuals with SEN
- Knowledge of SEN and the ability to adapt teaching methods accordingly
Education:
Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
Experience:
Prior experience working with children or individuals with SEN
Skills and Abilities:
- Familiarity with strategies and techniques to support students with SEN
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Strong organisational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- Additional training in SEN support

- Working hours: Full-time

- Work primarily within a school setting

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
