Job Description:

We are currently seeking a dedicated SEN Nursery Teaching Assistant to join a local authority-maintained Nursery School in Wolverhampton, West Midlands. This school has a strong focus on providing high-quality early education and has consistently received an 'Outstanding' rating from Ofsted.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the teacher in planning and conducting engaging lessons
  • Provide support for individual children and small groups in their learning activities
  • Help create and maintain a safe, stimulating learning environment
  • Participate in observing and assessing children's progress
  • Maintain effective communication with parents and carers regarding children’s development

Required Qualifications:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding training

Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within an educational setting
  • Strong understanding of child development and early education practises
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow directions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • First Aid certification
  • Additional training in Special Educational Needs (SEN)

Working Conditions:

This full-time, contract role involves working with children aged 2 to 4 years in both indoor and outdoor settings. The position offers a competitive hourly salary and the opportunity to work within a supportive and collaborative team focused on providing outstanding early education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
