Qualifications:

Teaching Assistant Level 2

Job Duties:

  • Provide support and assistance to students with special educational needs and disabilities.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students.
  • Support the class teacher in delivering tailored educational activities.
  • Help students with personal care and mobility needs.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Required Qualifications:

  • Teaching Assistant Level 2 qualification.
  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs.

Education:

Minimum Teaching Assistant Level 2 qualification

Experience:

Prior experience in a similar role working with children with special educational needs

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Good understanding of learning support practises
  • Proficient in providing childcare support
  • Knowledge of working with children with special educational needs and disabilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Teaching Assistant Level 3 qualification
  • Additional training in supporting children with autism or other specific needs

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position, Monday to Friday
  • Work within a school setting in Lambeth, Greater London
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
