Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Job Duties:
- Supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in their learning and development
- Assisting the class teacher in implementing individual education plans for students with SEN
- Providing one-to-one or small group support to students as directed by the teacher
- Helping to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students
- Assisting with the personal care needs of students, where required
- Supporting students with behavioural and emotional difficulties
- Assisting in the planning and preparation of lessons and resources
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in English and Maths
- Relevant qualifications or experience working with children with SEN
Education:
Further education qualifications in Education or Special Educational Needs (SEN) are desirable
Experience:
Prior experience working with children or young people with SEN
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of different learning needs and strategies to support students with SEN
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Patience and empathy when working with students with SEN
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position with regular school hours
