SEN Teaching Assistant

Protocol Education are working with an all through SEN Education Provision in Salisbury, and are looking to appoint new dedicated, nurturing and committed SEN Teaching Assistants. The schools has students from ages 2-19, all with severe or profound and mulitple learning difficulties and complex needs. The students in the school are all unique and need positive, supportive and fun Teaching Assistants who understand that everyones learning journey is different.

Start - September 2024

Closes - Monday 12th August

Hours - Both full and part time applicants considered

Key Aspects of the Role:

  • Provide tailored support to pupuls to enable them to learn in an appropiate environment
  • Ensure the safeguarding off all pupils
  • Provide care as required. This may include personal care and support of SEMH (Training will be provided)
  • To assist in delivering and running small group activities
  • To support the class teacher in the general running of the sessions
  • Prepare materiales, learning aids

Although previous experience working as a TA, or working with SEN is preffered. It is not essential. The school are more interested in you as a person, your personality and ability to form good relationships with students and staff.
