SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) Teacher

Salary: £180 - £240 per day, depending on experience and qualifications

As a SEND Teacher, you will inspire and support students with diverse learning needs, fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment. You will work closely with a dedicated team of educators and specialists to create individualized learning plans and ensure each student has the tools they need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver personalized teaching to students with a wide range of special educational needs, from moderate to complex.
- Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs), ensuring that they are regularly reviewed and adapted to meet students' evolving needs.
- Use creative teaching strategies and resources to engage students in the curriculum, fostering their academic and social development.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams including therapists and support staff to provide a holistic approach to student development.
- Track and assess students’ progress, making adjustments to teaching methods to ensure continued progress.
- Promote a positive and inclusive classroom culture that encourages student participation and confidence.
- Stay informed about the latest developments in SEND education and incorporate new approaches into your teaching.
About You:
- Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Additional qualifications or training in SEND are highly desirable.
- Experience: Previous experience working with SEND students in an educational setting is essential. Experience working with students with complex needs is a plus.
- Skills: Strong communication skills, creativity in lesson planning, and the ability to work collaboratively with a range of professionals.
- Mindset: Empathetic, patient, and committed to providing the best possible education to students with special needs. A positive, solution-focused approach to challenges is essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
