Job Description:

  • Develop and deliver engaging and inclusive lessons to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Assess individual learning needs and create tailored learning plans to support students in achieving their educational goals
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure a holistic approach to student development
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and effectively communicate with stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with students with SEN
  • Familiarity with SEN teaching strategies and best practises
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years experience teaching students with SEN

Key Skills and Knowledge:

  • Comprehensive understanding of different learning styles and the ability to adapt teaching methods accordingly
  • Effective classroom management skills
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment
  • Proficient in utilising technology to enhance learning

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Special Education Needs
  • Experience working with a diverse range of disabilities

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a school setting with students with varying levels of SEN
  • Full-time hours with occasional after-school meetings or events
  • Collaborative work environment with opportunities for professional development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
