Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support to children with specific SEN needs
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Support the classroom teacher in creating an inclusive learning environment
- Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their social and emotional development
- Monitor and document student progress, providing feedback to the SENCO and teachers
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping children succeed
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support (desirable but not essential)
