We are seeking a Core Subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN/SEND Teacher for a school dedicated to supporting young people with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs in Wolverhampton. Multiple positions are available, and recruitment is ongoing to meet the diverse needs we support.

Our mission is to transform the quality of education for young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Disabilities (SEND), as well as those with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. We are increasingly working with children and young people with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD).

We are looking for passionate SEN/SEND teachers who are committed to making a difference in the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners by providing holistic and engaging teaching. This role is ideal for qualified teachers eager to work with children and young people with various learning needs in a creative, flexible, and trauma-informed approach, aiming to boost engagement and significantly improve their educational journey.

The SEN/SEND Teacher role includes:

  • Delivering lessons in Maths, English, or Science to students with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs.
  • Planning and marking lessons.
  • Providing holistic and engaging sessions tailored to students’ needs, fostering both their academic and social-emotional development.

SEN/SEND Teacher requirements:

  • Professional Teaching Qualifications (Qualified Teacher Status / QTS / QTLS).
  • Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or other Additional Educational Needs.
  • Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding processes.
  • Enhanced DBS (we can assist with obtaining this at cost if necessary).
  • Two professional references.
  • Must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
