Job Duties:

  • Develop and implement individualised education plans for students with special educational needs
  • Teach a range of subjects to primary school students, adapting teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles
  • Assess students' progress and provide feedback to parents and school management
  • Collaborate with other teachers, teaching assistants, and support staff to create a supportive learning environment
  • Participate in meetings with parents, school administrators, and external professionals to discuss student progress and development

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Specialist knowledge and experience in working with students with special educational needs
  • Strong understanding of the UK national curriculum for primary education

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a primary school setting

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of individual students
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Knowledge of assessment and evaluation techniques

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or other specific learning difficulties

Working Conditions:

  • Work hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday
  • Classroom-based teaching with occasional off-site meetings
  • Collaboration with a diverse team of educators and support staff

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
