Job Duties:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a primary school setting
  • Assess and monitor student progress, adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs
  • Work collaboratively with other teachers, support staff, and parents to create a supportive learning environment
  • Provide feedback to students, parents, and school leadership on student development and educational goals
  • Attend meetings and training sessions to stay current on best practises in SEN education

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with students with SEN
  • Knowledge of the UK national curriculum

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years experience as a SEN teacher

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of SEN teaching strategies and methodologies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Organisational skills and ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Special Education Needs
  • Training in behaviour management techniques

Working Conditions:

  • Work within a primary school setting in Bromley, Greater London
  • Full-time contract role with regular school hours

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
