Job Duties:
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a primary school setting
- Assess and monitor student progress, adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs
- Work collaboratively with other teachers, support staff, and parents to create a supportive learning environment
- Provide feedback to students, parents, and school leadership on student development and educational goals
- Attend meetings and training sessions to stay current on best practises in SEN education
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working with students with SEN
- Knowledge of the UK national curriculum
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years experience as a SEN teacher
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong understanding of SEN teaching strategies and methodologies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
- Organisational skills and ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively
Preferred Qualifications:
- Postgraduate qualification in Special Education Needs
- Training in behaviour management techniques
Working Conditions:
- Work within a primary school setting in Bromley, Greater London
- Full-time contract role with regular school hours
